Our mission is to link the resources in our community (businesses, parents, and others) to provide support for workplace realities for students and teachers.
Career Development Coordinator, Becky Thomas, serves as the liaison between the high school and the business community and collaborates with Alliance Chair, Wanda Denning, to develop the meeting agenda for the Business Alliance. Rodney Jenkins is the liaison between the middle school and the Business Alliance.
The Business Alliance meets on the third Thursday of each month, at various locations.
They provide resources (ideas and expertise) for the middle and high schools based on teacher requests and the strategic plan that they develop.
Fuquay-Varina has many business partners who do not meet on a regular basis but volunteer to serve as classroom speakers, shadow hosts, and to provide opportunities for students for internships and service learning.
